This is me in my ‘On My Own’ attempt. After watching that clip from the movie, the song seemed less expectant of a super vibrato professional voice like it does on stage, it gave me courage so I tried my best. Yay.
God simply is.
He, being King and holy, gladly carried the cross that was meant for me, that condemned me. How could I ever question His ways and existence?
When you look to the skies it’s so clear. You can see His glory most radiant and true when you look up to that boundless blue.
Have you ever stopped to truly admire the sky? It’s unreal. When I see the skies blue, or even tea rose at sunset, it seems almost foreign to me. Otherworldly. And to me, honestly, it is. Its sublime beauty reflects heaven’s picture so perfectly I could never doubt God’s love and truth.
He’s everywhere. God is in that first morning of the year, when the thousand resolutions that dance in your head are fresh, new, and exciting. He’s in the rain and the peace you find in it. He’s in the sea and that smile you can’t deny when you’re floating and you hear nothing but the deep and see nothing but the sky. He’s present in the kindness of that stranger who helps you push your car or that someone who helps you unjam the printer.
He’s there and present in any kind of honest happiness. He’s there, responsible for every little thing that brings you joy.
